Very cool, I live three blocks from the Union Square Barnes and Noble and look forward to buying it there. Unless it's going to be in a local bookshop too, then I'll get it at the local place.
Bought the book yesterday. Love it! I'm writing a short review for a Danish site. Previously I've only seen the stuff of yours that's been available online. It's a lovely assembled book.
Have you seen Sally Mann's photo "Three Graces"? The "Family Peeing" drawing reminded me of that. Pretty cool for a four year old, haha. :-)
I bought the book and then thought I could have sat in a bookstore and looked at each drawing, but I'm glad I didn't because the book is really beautiful. It's a look over time of one young person's perception. I like looking at it in chronological order. I get a sense of Sophie's being. May you enjoy family and friends. May love surround you always. Your work is energetic, sometimes troubling, but direct and good-hearted.
gee, thanks everyone... shucks. i get bashed on all sides by r.crumb fans, whenever i put any artwork out... they compare me to him automatically, and duh of course he's a fuckn genius, i'd never even think of comparing myself, and thats not what im trying to do when i draw and print stuff, i just like drawing, shit, sorry ! but your nice , reaaally nice words are the first time ive gotten such encouragement, and it helps a lot. so thanks. ok, enuff.
